The 15th International Landscape Architectural Symposium of Japan, China and Korea In Tokyo, Japan 2016

The theme of the 15th International Landscape Architectural Symposium of Japan, China and Korea is “Landscape as Urban Infrastructure”. Each country held several national mega-events in the past such as the Olympics, the World Expositions, and/or other international events. We also experienced natural disasters frequently, which destroyed urban areas seriously. Landscape architects are needed to re-construct urban infrastructure drastically both for the national mega-events and for the recovery planning. How did the professionals of landscape architecture respond to such situations? What can we learn from the past experience? What can we make use of it for the coming future? We would like to discuss such issues from the view point of East Asia and deliver the message to the world.

※Another exhibition of competition works and company booth will be also held at The College of Green and
water for Citizens in Hibiya Park from 10/22(Tue) to 11/1(Tue).

5. Language (provisional)
- We are planning to conduct the Symposium on October 30th in English and might not prepare Chinese and Korean translators.
